Los Angeles Metro
Los Angeles plays soccer on every surface it has: park fields in the Valley, indoor courts in industrial units, rec-centre blacktop in the east side neighbourhoods. The MCC Los Angeles tournament for 2027 gives that scattered game three grounds, a Pitch Round starting on 9 April and a route that ends at the World Final on 7 July 2027.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Los Angeles Metro with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

A city that plays futsal in every neighbourhood
Football here is a local habit more than a stadium event. Mexican, Salvadoran, Armenian, Korean and Brazilian communities each run their own leagues, and futsal and fútbol rápido courts turn up in warehouses, church halls and recreation centres. Corporate teams in the studios and tech offices book fields after work, and LA Galaxy, LAFC and Angel City are the best-known professional sides.
Any amateur team of up to nine players that already plays a midweek 5-a-side game can enter. A group formed for MCC is welcome too. A squad that began as a group chat and a shared pitch fee has the same standing at registration as a long-established club side with its own kit and sponsors.
Choosing between the Valley, the east side and the South Bay
Los Angeles is a driving city, so the grounds follow freeways rather than rail lines. San Fernando Valley covers Van Nuys, Northridge, Sherman Oaks and Burbank. Central/East LA stretches from Koreatown and Echo Park through Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles. South Bay takes in Torrance, Hawthorne, Carson and the beach towns.
With room for 64 to 128 teams and a complete round of its own, each ground lets a team choose the one it can reach after work without a long cross-city drive. A team in Pasadena or Long Beach can simply pick the nearest of the three.
Each ground ends up with a single venue, confirmed under the MCC pitch owner programme and listed here after the agreement is signed. Teams register for a named ground, so the venue card is where to find out where group matches are played.
April and May weather and the road to the Country Championship
Los Angeles is mild and mostly dry in April and May, with a morning marine layer and afternoons around 22 degrees Celsius, which suits late-day fixtures. Groups play over three April weekends from the 9th, playoffs begin on 30 April and finals follow on 9 May 2027.
Every ground's champion moves directly into the United States Country Championship, 28 to 30 May 2027, to meet champions from New York Metro, Houston, Chicago and other American host cities. Beyond that lies the continental stage, then the World Final on 7 July 2027.
More than a one-day cup in a park
Local tournaments in Los Angeles tend to run for a single weekend, often as club fundraisers or festival side events. MCC runs a published season instead: four-team groups, three group matches, playoffs and penalties for level ties. A team that wins its ground collects $20,000 and moves on. Amateur status, a named Team President and a zero-tolerance conduct policy apply to every entry.

How does a team enter MCC in Los Angeles Metro?
Register on this site and pick one of Los Angeles Metro's three grounds: San Fernando Valley, Central/East LA, South Bay. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Los Angeles Metro?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Los Angeles Metro grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Los Angeles Metro?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Los Angeles Metro team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the United States title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Which Los Angeles ground works for a team in Pasadena or Long Beach?
Choose the ground you can reach most easily on a weekday evening. Pasadena teams usually look to Central/East LA or the Valley, and Long Beach teams to South Bay. All three grounds run the same format and prize.
How many teams play on each Los Angeles ground?
Between 64 and 128, drawn from its own part of the metro area, which keeps travel short. Teams play in groups of four, with three group matches spread across the weekends of 9 to 11, 16 to 18 and 23 to 25 April.
We are a futsal club. Can we enter as a club?
Entries are by team, with one Team License each. A club can enter several teams, and every team needs its own Team President and squad of up to nine. Clubs with several sides can place them in different groups.
Do the Los Angeles winners meet teams from outside California?
Yes. The Country Championship on 28 to 30 May 2027 brings the Pitch Champions from every American ground together, so Los Angeles sides face teams from Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and beyond.
