Turin
Turin is a city of two big clubs and a great many small pitches. Juventus and Torino share the local conversation, but most Torinesi play on the calcetto fields that fill the gaps between the avenues and the Po. MCC brings a 5-a-side tournament to Turin in spring 2027: three grounds, up to 128 teams each, and a Pitch Champion from every one who goes through to the Italian championship.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Turin with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.
North Turin
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
East Turin
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
South Turin
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion

Small-sided football in a two-club city
Turin supports Juventus and Torino, and the divide runs through offices, families and school classes. Calcetto is where that argument becomes a team: the weekly game after work, the university league, the sides made up of colleagues from the same factory floor or studio.
MCC asks very little of such a team beyond a squad of five to nine, a Team President and a Team License. A match is two 15-minute halves against a stop clock inside a 40-minute slot, which fits a normal weekday evening.
North, East and South Turin
The grounds split the city by compass point. North Turin serves the districts beyond Porta Palazzo, Barriera di Milano and Borgo Vittoria. East Turin reaches across the Po toward Vanchiglia, the hills and the towns on the far bank. South Turin covers Lingotto, Mirafiori and the neighbourhoods along metro line 1, which runs from Fermi in the west to Bengasi in the south.
Because each ground plays its own complete round, nobody needs to cross the city on a weekday. The pitch owner programme confirms one venue per ground, and the live cards here show which are announced and which still await an owner.
April and May in Piedmont
Spring in Turin is mild, with the occasional shower and long light in the evenings, so artificial pitches play well. The group stage takes three weekends from 9 April 2027, the playoffs begin on 30 April and the finals are on 9 May.
Turin's three Pitch Champions then join winners from Milan, Rome, Naples and Bologna for the Italy Country Championship, 28 to 30 May 2027. The continental stage is the next step after that, and the World Final takes place on 7 July 2027.
What sets this Turin tournament apart
Turin has company cups, parish tournaments and weekend festivals in the summer, most finished in a day. MCC is a seasonal competition with published rules, shootouts when a playoff tie is level, and $20,000 goes to each Pitch Champion. Amateur teams only, a named Team President for each entry, and a conduct policy that can end in licence revocation without refund.

Questions from Turin
How does a team enter MCC in Turin?
Register on this site and pick one of Turin's three grounds: North Turin, East Turin, South Turin. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Turin?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Turin grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Turin?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Turin team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Italy title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Is calcetto the same as the MCC 5-a-side game?
Close enough that nobody needs to relearn anything. MCC plays five a side with nine players at most in a squad, halves of fifteen minutes and a stop clock. The only difference is a published ladder and prize fund.
Which Turin ground is best for a team from Lingotto?
South Turin is the natural fit, since it covers Lingotto, Mirafiori and the neighbourhoods along metro line 1. A squad from Vanchiglia or the hills would look at East Turin instead.
Can students from Turin's universities enter as a team?
Yes, provided they are amateurs. A student side fields five to nine players, names a Team President on its entry, and registers for the Turin ground that is easiest to reach by tram or metro.
How does a Turin team reach the playoffs?
Each group has four teams and plays three group matches between 9 and 25 April 2027. The top two move on to the playoffs that start on 30 April, and a level playoff tie is settled on penalties.
