Host a tournament in Turin

MCC wants one Turin venue for each of its three grounds. The host's job is to take a field of up to 128 amateur teams through a five-week Pitch Round ending 9 May 2027, with the entries, the fixtures, the format and the prize fund provided. Owners of calcetto fields and small-sided pitches in Turin and its surrounding towns can read here what the role involves.

What a Turin host provides

The venue lends its pitches to group matches on three April weekends and then to the playoff dates, up to the final on 9 May. Because every match takes a 40-minute slot, a site with several pitches can complete a full ground quickly; a smaller one can host a ground of 64 teams or more.

Where the three Turin grounds sit

North Turin runs from Barriera di Milano and Borgo Vittoria outward, East Turin covers Vanchiglia and the hill side across the Po, and South Turin takes Lingotto and Mirafiori. A venue applies for the ground matching its location, and the live cards on the Turin page show which grounds are already confirmed.

How to apply

Someone who manages pitches in Turin or its surrounding towns completes the pitch owner application for the nearest ground. MCC confirms a single venue per ground and signs an agreement, and once that is done the Turin page carries the venue's name.

Questions from Turin venues

Can an indoor hall in Turin host a ground?

A hall or an outdoor site uses the same pitch owner application, for whichever Turin ground covers its area. What the contract asks is hosting in 40-minute slots across the fixture dates, 9 April to 9 May 2027.

Does a venue need to be inside the city of Turin?

No. The grounds cover the wider area, so a site in the surrounding towns can apply for the ground nearest to it. MCC confirms one venue per ground and names it on the Turin page.

Who recruits referees for a Turin ground?

MCC does. It recruits referees, assistants and crew via the join page, and a venue never appoints its own. The prize for each Pitch Champion comes from the published prize fund.
