Host a tournament in Marseille
Marseille's three grounds, North Marseille, Aubagne/East and South Marseille, each need a venue. The venue stages one complete 5-a-side ground between 9 April and 9 May 2027, with MCC handling format, entries, fixtures and prize fund. Owners of courts and pitches around Marseille and Aubagne are the people this page addresses.
What a Marseille venue takes on
The venue gives pitch time on three group weekends, plus the playoff dates leading to the final on 9 May. Matches run in 40-minute slots, and a Marseille ground holds 64 to 128 teams. Entries, fixtures and officials are arranged by MCC, and the venue hosts the matches on the fixture dates.
Where each ground sits
North Marseille covers the northern districts. Aubagne/East runs from Aubagne along the valley road east of the city. South Marseille takes in the Prado, Mazargues and the coast towards the Calanques. A venue is confirmed for the ground its site falls in.
Applying as a pitch owner in Marseille
Owners submit the pitch owner application, and a single venue is confirmed per ground once an agreement is signed. The venue is then announced on the Marseille page for teams entering that ground to see, and the live cards mark the grounds that have none yet.
Questions from Marseille venues
Can a venue in Aubagne or nearby apply for the eastern ground?
Aubagne/East is named for Aubagne and the towns of the Huveaune valley, so a site there fits it. Any pitch owner can apply, and one venue is confirmed per ground once an agreement is signed.
Is a venue already confirmed for any Marseille ground?
The live cards on the Marseille page show which of North Marseille, Aubagne/East and South Marseille has a signed venue. Each ground gets one venue, confirmed through the pitch owner programme and named on the page once its agreement is signed.
Where do the teams and officials in Marseille come from?
Teams enter through this site and are placed on a ground. Match officials and crew are recruited via the join page, never chosen by teams. A Marseille venue provides the pitches for the fixture dates and hosts the matches.
