Singapore
Singapore squeezes a lot of football into a small island. Futsal courts sit under HDB blocks and beside community clubs, and teams book evening slots weeks ahead. The MCC Singapore tournament 2027 uses three grounds, The Cage Kallang, Woodlands/North and Jurong/West, with a Pitch Round starting on 9 April and a path to the World Final on 7 July.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Singapore with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

Futsal on a compact island
Small-sided football suits a city where land is scarce. Futsal and 5-a-side have a loyal following across Singapore, from corporate leagues to friends who book a court after work. The wider game has the Singapore national team and clubs in the Singapore Premier League, though most weeknight players take part for the sake of the match itself.
The MCC format is easy to learn. A squad has at most nine players, a match is two 15-minute halves played against a stop clock, and each one takes a 40-minute slot. Groups of four play three matches apiece, the top two sides go through, and a level playoff tie is decided by penalties.
Kallang, the north and the west
The three grounds spread across the island. The Cage Kallang sits in the central-east area around Kallang, close to the MRT network. Woodlands/North covers the northern towns toward the Causeway. Jurong/West serves the western side, including Jurong East and the industrial estates. Each is reachable by MRT and bus, so travel times are short compared with larger cities.
Each ground gets one venue through the MCC pitch owner programme. This page names it once the agreement is signed, and the live cards above show which grounds already have one. Until a venue is named, the ground is simply the area it covers.
Singapore in April and May, then the continental stage
Singapore has no spring: it is hot and humid all year, with highs around 32 degrees, and the inter-monsoon weeks bring sudden afternoon thunderstorms. The calendar gives three April weekends to group football, 30 April to the start of the playoffs and 9 May to each ground's final.
Singapore is the only MCC host city in its country, so there is no city stage after the Pitch Round: the three Pitch Champions go directly to the Country Championship on 28 to 30 May 2027. Its winner enters the continental stage, and the island's route finishes at the World Final on 7 July, where the prizes peak at $5,000,000.
Singapore leagues and what a tournament season adds
Singapore already has corporate futsal leagues, school competitions and community tournaments. MCC joins them as a worldwide season: the same format in 110 host cities, a $20,000 prize for each Pitch Champion and a route beyond the island. Only amateur teams can enter, each with a Team President on its licence, and a zero-tolerance conduct policy.

Register on this site and pick one of Singapore's three grounds: The Cage Kallang, Woodlands/North, Jurong/West. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Singapore?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Singapore grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Singapore?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Singapore team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Singapore title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Which Singapore ground is nearest to the city centre?
The Cage Kallang is the central ground, while Woodlands/North and Jurong/West sit at the north and west ends of the island. Because the island is compact, teams can pick whichever ground their squad finds easiest to reach.
Are expatriate and company teams allowed in Singapore?
Yes. Any amateur team of up to nine players can enter, whether it is a company side, a school alumni team or friends, and each team holds a Team License with a Team President named on it.
When do the Singapore group matches take place?
Group matches take place across three April weekends in 2027, starting on 9 April. A group has four teams, each plays three matches in 40-minute slots on a stop clock, and the top two go to the playoffs from 30 April.
Does a Singapore champion go to a national final first?
Each Pitch Champion goes to the Singapore Country Championship on 28 to 30 May 2027. The winners from that stage move on to the continental stage, and later the World Final.
