Seoul
Seoul has built a futsal habit around rooftop courts, riverside parks and rentable pitches that fill every evening after work. MCC adds a tournament for 2027 across three Seoul grounds, North Seoul, East Seoul and South-West Seoul, playing from 9 April, with a route that ends in the World Final.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Seoul with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.
North Seoul
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
East Seoul
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
South-West Seoul
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion

Rooftops, rivers and rented pitches
Small-sided football in Seoul runs on booking apps and short evening slots. Futsal courts sit on office rooftops, above car parks and beside the Han River, and teams of friends, colleagues and university clubs fill them from Monday to Sunday. FC Seoul and the national team at Seoul World Cup Stadium give the city its top-level football, while the amateur game happens on these courts.
That suits the MCC format closely, and the league nights Seoul teams already know translate directly. Five players a side, up to nine in a squad, two 15-minute halves on a stop clock: close to what Seoul teams play weekly, except that here a win leads somewhere.
North, East and South-West across the Han
North Seoul covers the districts above the river, from Jongno and Seongbuk out to Nowon and Dobong. East Seoul takes in Gwangjin, Songpa and Gangdong, with Jamsil and the line 2 and line 8 corridors close by. South-West Seoul covers Yeongdeungpo, Guro, Gangseo and Gwanak, where line 2 and line 9 carry most commuters. Subway and bus links are dense enough that a team can pick a ground by its own line.
Each Seoul ground has room for 64 to 128 teams and receives one venue. The MCC pitch owner programme confirms that venue, and it is named here once an agreement is signed. Cards on this page show which of the three are filled and which remain open.
Spring in Seoul and the road to Busan
April in Seoul brings cherry blossom, mild days and cool nights, with spring dust on bad days and a few showers in May. Group fixtures start on 9 April and repeat on the next two weekends, and playoffs open on 30 April.
Each ground holds its final on 9 May. The three Seoul Pitch Champions then meet the Pitch Champions of Busan at the South Korea Country Championship on 28 to 30 May 2027. After that come the continental stage and the World Final.
A season rather than a company cup
Seoul companies and clubs run internal futsal cups and weekend festivals, usually over a single day. MCC lasts five weeks: three group matches, then playoffs with penalties for any level tie, and a fixed $20,000 for each Pitch Champion. Amateurs only, a named Team President on every entry, and zero tolerance toward misconduct.

Questions from Seoul
How does a team enter MCC in Seoul?
Register on this site and pick one of Seoul's three grounds: North Seoul, East Seoul, South-West Seoul. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Seoul?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Seoul grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Seoul?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Seoul team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the South Korea title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Can a team from a Seoul office or university enter?
Yes. A workplace side, a campus club or a friends group can each hold a Team License if its players are amateurs. Squads can have up to nine players, and one of them is named as Team President on the entry.
How should a Gangnam team choose a ground?
By commute. Gangnam sits between the East and South-West catchments, so the line a squad already rides on weeknights should decide it. Each ground runs a full round, so neither side has an edge.
What is Seoul's weather like in April and May?
April brings mild days and cool nights, with cherry blossom early in the month and spring dust on bad days. May is warmer, with a few showers. Teams should expect spring conditions from the first group weekend to the ground finals.
Do Seoul teams play Busan teams?
Yes, at the Country Championship on 28 to 30 May 2027, where Pitch Champions from both cities meet. Before that, Seoul teams only play inside their own ground's round, so nobody travels south early.
