Host a 5-a-side tournament in Singapore
Three venues are wanted in Singapore, one for each of the Kallang, Woodlands/North and Jurong/West grounds. Hosting means running an amateur 5-a-side competition of 64 to 128 teams through five weeks beginning on 9 April 2027; the format, the entries and the prizes all come from MCC. This page is for operators of futsal courts or small-sided pitches on the island.
What a Singapore venue takes on
Three April weekends go to group play, the playoffs come next and the final is on 9 May. With 40 minutes per match, a venue that has numerous courts can host all 128 teams, and a smaller one can host a ground nearer 64.
How the Singapore grounds are drawn
The Cage Kallang is the label for the central-east ground around Kallang. Woodlands/North covers the northern towns up to the Causeway, and Jurong/West covers the western side of the island. A venue applies for the ground whose area contains it. The live cards on the Singapore city page show which grounds already have a confirmed venue.
How a Singapore venue applies
Singapore operators use the pitch owner application, as in every host city. A single venue is confirmed for each ground and MCC signs an agreement with it. The venue is then listed on the Singapore page, so teams entering that ground can see where they will play.
Questions from Singapore venues
Does a ground label like Kallang mean a venue is already chosen?
No. The Cage Kallang names the central-east ground, not a signed venue. Like every ground, it gets its venue through the pitch owner programme, and the venue is announced on the Singapore city page once its agreement is signed.
How many courts does a Singapore ground need?
That depends on the ground you want to host. Groups of four play three matches each across three weekends, so a site with many courts can serve all 128 teams, while a venue with only a few can take a ground starting at 64 teams.
Who supplies teams and officials at a Singapore ground?
MCC does. Teams enter on this site, and referees and crew come through the join page, never appointed by teams. A Singapore venue provides the courts for 40-minute matches on the fixture dates.
