Rosario
Rosario lives in two colours, Newell's red and black and Central's blue and gold, and the rivalry shows up on every cancha in the city. The MCC Rosario tournament brings those canchas into a larger season: three zone grounds on the Paraná side of Santa Fe, group matches from 9 April 2027 and a route through the Argentine championship to the World Final on 7 July 2027.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Rosario with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

Where Rosario plays fútbol 5
Rosarinos play their weekday football on rented synthetic pitches, often in complejos with a bar and a grill beside the field. Work groups from the port and the grain trade, student teams and friends from the same street take regular slots. The 5-a-side format MCC uses is the game these teams already play, with squads of up to nine and a stop clock.
The change is the structure. Instead of a fixture that ends when the hour does, a team enters a group of four, plays three group matches and, if it finishes in the top two, goes into the playoffs, with penalties when a tie stays level.
North, West and South Zone on the river
The North Zone covers Alberdi, Ludueña and the barrios running up towards Granadero Baigorria. The West Zone covers Fisherton, Echesortu and the western districts along Avenida Pellegrini and beyond. The South Zone covers Saladillo, Villa Gobernador Galvez and the southern edge of the city. Each zone runs its own round of 64 to 128 teams.
Buses and trolleybuses cross the city. A team can look at which zone sits on its own side of the river road, close to its usual cancha. Evening kickoffs are common, so the trip home after a late match matters as much as the trip there.
Rosario in April and May, then Argentina
April and May are autumn in Rosario, mild and humid by day and cooler in the evening. The three group weekends start with 9 to 11 April and end with 23 to 25 April, with 16 to 18 April between them. Knockout games open on 30 April, and each zone finishes with its own final on 9 May.
Rosario's three Pitch Champions go on to the Country Championship for Argentina, 28 to 30 May 2027, together with the winners from Buenos Aires and Cordoba. Next is the continental stage, and the World Final is on 7 July 2027. Prizes in the whole tournament run from $20,000 to $5,000,000.
Canallas, leprosos and an amateur cup of a different kind
Rosario Central and Newell's Old Boys give the city its football calendar. MCC is not connected to either club. Its tournament stands apart: only amateur teams play, each entry names a Team President, every Pitch Champion wins $20,000 and a zero-tolerance conduct policy can end in a revoked licence with no refund.

How does a team enter MCC in Rosario?
Register on this site and pick one of Rosario's three grounds: North Zone, West Zone, South Zone. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Rosario?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Rosario grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Rosario?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Rosario team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Argentina title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Do I have to support Central or Newell's to play?
No. MCC has no connection with either club, and players from both sides play together on many fútbol 5 teams. The tournament only asks that every player is an amateur and the team has a named Team President.
Can a team from Granadero Baigorria or Funes enter?
Yes. The three zones cover the wider Rosario area, so a team from nearby towns enters the zone that is closest to it. The only rule is that the players are amateurs, with a squad of five to nine.
Do Rosario teams stay in their own zone for the first round?
Yes. Each zone runs a complete round with its own groups and playoffs, from 9 April to 9 May 2027, and the zone's final decides its Pitch Champion. After that comes the Argentine championship on 28 to 30 May 2027.
What does the license cover?
One Team License covers one team. It costs 1,200 dollars for one year if bought before 1 March 2027 and 2,500 after, or 5,000 dollars for three years, and it carries the team through every stage.
