Frankfurt Rhine-Main
Frankfurt Rhine-Main is a football region more than a single city: the Main river ties together Frankfurt, Offenbach and Wiesbaden, and small-sided teams cross those borders every week. The 2027 MCC tournament gives the area three grounds, and a good run in April could end at the World Final in July.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Frankfurt Rhine-Main with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

One region, three football towns
Eintracht Frankfurt draws the biggest crowds, Kickers Offenbach has a loyal following across the river and Wiesbaden has its own club scene. Beneath them sits Kleinfeld and futsal football in sports halls and on artificial pitches, played by teams from offices, universities and neighbourhoods.
The commuter pattern of the region suits a tournament like this. Players live in one town and work in another, so a team is often a mix of places and the ground it chooses can reflect that. Entry is by Team License, and a squad can draw on up to nine players.
North Frankfurt, Offenbach and Wiesbaden
North Frankfurt serves Bockenheim, Eschersheim, Bad Homburg and the districts along the U-Bahn lines out toward the Taunus. Offenbach/East covers Offenbach, Hanau and the towns along the Main eastward. Wiesbaden/West stretches from Wiesbaden toward Mainz and the Rheingau, reached by S-Bahn and regional train.
A ground takes 64 to 128 teams and has a round to itself. Each gets one venue, chosen from the pitch owner programme, and the live cards here show which are settled. A venue is announced on this page only after its agreement is signed.
April in the Main valley and what follows
The Rhine-Main basin is among the warmer parts of Germany, and April is usually mild with spells of rain. Group games take three April weekends (9 to 11, 16 to 18, 23 to 25 in 2027), knockouts start on 30 April and the last match at each ground is on 9 May.
Each ground's winner is paired with German rivals from Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Dortmund and Stuttgart at the Country Championship, 28 to 30 May 2027. After a continental stage the World Final, on 7 July 2027, picks the champion of champions.
Rhine-Main tournaments and the MCC season
The region hosts many company cups, charity days and holiday-weekend tournaments. They tend to finish in a single day. MCC lasts five weeks, follows a format published beforehand, pays $20,000 to every Pitch Champion and sends winners onward. Amateurs only may enter, a Team President signs up each team, and misconduct is met with zero tolerance.

Questions from Frankfurt Rhine-Main
How does a team enter MCC in Frankfurt Rhine-Main?
Register on this site and pick one of Frankfurt Rhine-Main's three grounds: North Frankfurt, Offenbach/East, Wiesbaden/West. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Frankfurt Rhine-Main?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Frankfurt Rhine-Main grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Frankfurt Rhine-Main?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Frankfurt Rhine-Main team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Germany title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Which ground should an Offenbach or Hanau team choose?
Offenbach/East is the natural fit for teams in Offenbach, Hanau and the towns east along the Main. A team can enter at any of the three grounds, and every ground runs a complete round with the same format and prize.
Can a Mainz team enter the Wiesbaden/West ground?
Yes. The ground covers Wiesbaden and the area toward Mainz and the Rheingau, and a team does not need to live in a particular town. The venue is announced on this page once its agreement is signed.
Can players from different towns share one team?
Yes. A squad of up to nine may live anywhere, provided the team is amateur and holds a Team License. Many Rhine-Main teams are mixed by workplace, and the Team President named on the entry is the contact.
Does an airport or business team have to meet extra rules?
No. A team formed through an employer is treated like any other, so long as its players are amateurs. The same conduct policy, format and entry rules apply to every team in every ground.
