Host a tournament in Frankfurt Rhine-Main
Across Frankfurt Rhine-Main, MCC is after one venue each for North Frankfurt, Offenbach/East and Wiesbaden/West. The chosen sites stage a 5-a-side competition with 64 to 128 amateur teams in spring 2027, while MCC handles the format, entries and prize money. Read on for the duties involved.
What a Rhine-Main venue provides
Hosting a Rhine-Main ground means offering pitch time in 40-minute match slots: group games across three April weekends, knockouts from 30 April and the ground's final on 9 May 2027. A ground draws 64 to 128 teams. Officials and crew come from MCC's join page rather than from the venue.
How the three grounds divide the region
North Frankfurt covers the city's northern districts and the towns toward the Taunus, including Bad Homburg. Offenbach/East takes in Offenbach, Hanau and the Main towns to the east. Wiesbaden/West covers Wiesbaden, the Rheingau side and the Mainz direction. Applicants pick the area their site is in.
Applying from Frankfurt, Offenbach or Wiesbaden
To put a site forward, use the MCC pitch owner application. A single venue per ground is confirmed after an agreement is signed, and the Frankfurt Rhine-Main page lists it. Sites in Frankfurt, Offenbach, Wiesbaden or the towns between apply for the ground their area belongs to.
Questions from Rhine-Main venues
Does the venue have to be inside Frankfurt itself?
No. The three grounds cover the region, so a site in Offenbach, Hanau, Wiesbaden or the Taunus towns can apply for the ground it sits in. Location matters because teams choose the ground nearest to them.
Can an existing soccer or futsal centre apply?
Yes. Commercial centres, clubs and school or university sites can all use the pitch owner application. MCC confirms one venue for each ground and signs an agreement with it before the venue is named.
What does MCC supply to the venue?
The format, fixtures, team entries, prize fund and the match officials and crew, recruited through the join page. The venue provides pitches and hours, and the agreement sets out the rest before the venue is announced.
