Host a tournament in Brussels
Brussels is planned with three MCC grounds, North, East and South, and each needs a single venue. That venue stages a 5-a-side tournament for 64 to 128 amateur teams over the Pitch Round, 9 April to 9 May 2027. Rules, entries and the $20,000 Pitch Champion prize come from MCC; pitches and playing hours come from the venue.
What a Brussels venue provides
A Brussels venue stages group matches on three April weekends, then the playoffs and the final on 9 May. Matches take 40-minute slots, so the number of courts a site can run across a weekend decides whether the ground holds 64 teams or up to 128.
Which part of Brussels each ground covers
North Brussels covers Schaerbeek, Laeken and neighbouring communes. East Brussels takes in Etterbeek, the Woluwe communes and the European quarter. South Brussels covers Anderlecht, Forest, Saint-Gilles and Uccle. Venues apply for the ground matching their commune, and the cards on the Brussels page show which are still open.
Applying through the pitch owner programme
Brussels operators apply through the pitch owner application. MCC confirms a single venue per ground and signs an agreement, after which the venue appears on the Brussels page and teams signing up for that ground see where they will play.
Questions from Brussels venues
Can a communal sports hall in Brussels host a ground?
Yes, a hall can apply like any other pitch owner. MCC confirms one venue per ground and signs an agreement with it. After that the Brussels page shows the venue to teams who are choosing between the North, East and South grounds.
Do we need to speak both French and Dutch?
No. The tournament runs through this site, and the venue's role is pitches and hours. Match officials and crew are recruited separately through the join page, not by teams or venues.
Which dates must a Brussels venue cover?
The Pitch Round starts on 9 April 2027 and ends with each ground's final on 9 May. In between are group weekends in April and playoffs from 30 April. The venue hosts all of these matches in 40-minute slots.
