Bogota
Bogota already plays its football in small spaces. Microfútbol and futsal courts sit in neighbourhood parks, schools and sports clubs from Usaquen to Bosa, and office teams book them after work. The MCC Bogota tournament puts three grounds on that map, North, West and South, playing between 9 April and 9 May 2027, with a route out of the city that ends at the World Final on 7 July.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Bogota with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.
North Bogota
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
West Bogota
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
South Bogota

Microfútbol and futsal in the capital
Colombians have their own name for the five-player game, microfútbol, and in Bogota it is played on hard courts in parks, church halls, universities and company sports grounds, well away from the big stadium nights at El Campin. Millonarios and Independiente Santa Fe draw the city's loyalties, but most people who play on a Tuesday evening are in an office team or a neighbourhood side.
That is the pool MCC is written for. Squads of up to nine and a stop clock for two quarter-hour halves will suit a team that already knows how to play on a short court, whether it calls the sport microfútbol, futsal or simply 5-a-side.
North, West and South: choosing a Bogota ground
Bogota is long and narrow, stretched along the foot of the eastern hills, and journeys are decided by traffic as much as distance. The three grounds follow that shape. North Bogota covers the districts toward Usaquen, Suba and the Autopista Norte corridor. West Bogota serves Engativa, Fontibon and the Calle 80 and Avenida El Dorado routes. South Bogota takes in Kennedy, Bosa, Tunjuelito and the neighbourhoods further south.
Every ground plays out its own round, with 64 to 128 teams, so a squad registers where its players live or work and avoids a long crossing on a weekday. Venues are confirmed one at a time through the pitch owner programme, so the cards on this page show which grounds are already announced.
April, May and the Colombian route
Bogota sits at about 2,600 metres, so April and May are cool and changeable: mild afternoons, a real chance of rain and evenings that need a jacket. Teams play their three group matches over the weekends of 9 to 11 April, then 16 to 18 April, then 23 to 25 April. Playoffs start 30 April and the ground final closes the round on 9 May.
Afterwards the Bogota Pitch Champions go to the Colombian national event over 28 to 30 May 2027 to face the winners from Medellin and Barranquilla. South America's continental stage comes next, and the World Final is on 7 July 2027.
How MCC differs from a Bogota weekend cup
Bogota has its share of one-day cups and company leagues. MCC is a longer thing: a five-week season, a published format, $20,000 for each Pitch Champion and a bracket that carries on past the city limits. Only amateurs may play, each entry names a Team President, and the conduct policy is zero tolerance, with licence revocation and no refund as the ultimate sanction.

Questions from Bogota
How does a team enter MCC in Bogota?
Register on this site and pick one of Bogota's three grounds: North Bogota, West Bogota, South Bogota. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Bogota?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Bogota grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Bogota?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Bogota team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Colombia title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Does a microfútbol team count as a 5-a-side team?
Yes. MCC plays five players a side on a small pitch, with squads of up to nine. A team that plays microfútbol or futsal in Bogota can enter as it is, as long as every player is an amateur.
Which Bogota ground is nearest to Chapinero or the centre?
No ground is named for the centre. Teams in Chapinero or La Candelaria choose whichever of North, West or South they can reach most easily on a weekday evening, since each ground plays a complete round on its own.
How do the altitude and weather shape the matches?
Bogota sits at about 2,600 metres, and April and May are cool and changeable, with showers likely. Matches follow the same format on every ground: two 15-minute halves on a stop clock, played in 40-minute slots.
What happens after a Bogota team wins its ground?
Each Pitch Champion goes straight into the Colombian final weekend, 28 to 30 May 2027, beside the champions from Medellin and Barranquilla. The country winner then enters the South American stage.
