Host a tournament in Warsaw

MCC needs one venue each for North Warsaw, East Warsaw and South Warsaw. Taking a ground means staging its Pitch Round: 64 to 128 amateur sides, five weeks of fixtures in 2027, and a final on 9 May. If you operate small-sided pitches or halls in Warsaw, this page explains the role.

What a Warsaw ground needs from its venue

What the ground needs is time on the pitches: three weekends in April for groups, playoff days after 30 April, then the final. At 40 minutes a match, one site with several pitches can take all 128 teams, and 64 teams is enough for a ground to go ahead.

Where the three Warsaw grounds sit

North Warsaw takes in Bielany, Żoliborz and Białołęka. East Warsaw takes in Praga, Targówek and Rembertów. South Warsaw takes in Mokotów, Ursynów and Wilanów. Owners of sites on either bank of the Vistula can look for the ground that matches where they are.

Applying as a Warsaw pitch owner

The way in is the MCC pitch owner application. MCC confirms one venue for each of the three Warsaw grounds and signs an agreement with it, and the Warsaw page then carries the venue's name, so that teams in the ground know where to play.

Questions from Warsaw venues

Can a school or municipal Orlik site apply?

Yes. The pitch owner programme takes owners of small pitches in a ground's area, public or private. The venue's task is to host the matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates, and to sign the agreement.

How many teams will a Warsaw ground bring to the venue?

Each ground holds 64 to 128 teams, and every team in a ground plays at its single confirmed venue. The Pitch Round runs from 9 April to 9 May 2027, with groups on three weekends in April.

Who supplies the teams and the officials?

MCC does. Teams register on the main website, and referees and crew are taken on through the join page. Officials are never appointed by teams or venues, so the venue only hosts the matches.
