Warsaw
Warsaw runs three MCC grounds in the 2027 Pitch Round, in North, East and South Warsaw, each holding between 64 and 128 amateur teams for 5-a-side football from 9 April to 9 May. Poland has no other host city, which means the three Warsaw Pitch Champions alone contest the Polish Country Championship at the end of May.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Warsaw with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

Halówka, futsal and Orlik pitches in Warsaw
Warsaw plays small-sided football all year. Polish players call indoor football halówka, futsal has a following, and the city's Orlik pitches, the public artificial surfaces built in neighbourhoods across Poland, are well known. Office teams, university sides and groups of friends that play weekly are the squads MCC has in mind.
Matches are quick. Squads number nine at most, a half lasts 15 minutes on a clock that stops with play, and each match gets a 40-minute slot. Groups of four play three games and send two teams through. Penalties settle any level playoff, whatever the stage.
North, East and South Warsaw across the Vistula
North Warsaw covers Bielany, Żoliborz and Białołęka. East Warsaw is the ground for Praga, on the right bank of the Vistula, along with Targówek and Rembertów. South Warsaw covers Mokotów, Ursynów and Wilanów, reached by the M1 metro line, trams and buses.
Warsaw's two metro lines, trams and city railway link every area. For each ground MCC confirms one venue via its pitch owner programme and publishes the name here once the agreement is signed, so cards on this page show which grounds have a venue.
April and May in Warsaw, then the Polish final
April weather in Warsaw is changeable, usually 8 to 14 degrees with sun and showers in turn. Group football fills three April weekends in 2027, starting on the 9th, the 16th and the 23rd. From 30 April the playoffs take over, and every ground ends with its final on 9 May.
Poland's only host city is Warsaw, so the Country Championship, 28 to 30 May 2027, is contested by its three champions. The winner carries on to the continental stage, and the World Final is set for 7 July 2027. Across the competition, prizes range from $20,000 to $5,000,000.
Five weeks of fixtures, then the national stage
A Warsaw ground plays out its fixtures between 9 April and 9 May 2027 on a published format, with $20,000 for each Pitch Champion and a route up to the world stage. Only amateur teams can enter, a Team President is named for each, and the conduct policy is zero tolerance.

Questions from Warsaw
How does a team enter MCC in Warsaw?
Register on this site and pick one of Warsaw's three grounds: North Warsaw, East Warsaw, South Warsaw. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Warsaw?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Warsaw grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Warsaw?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Warsaw team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Poland title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Can our Orlik pitch regulars enter as a team?
Yes. Neighbourhood groups who already meet on public pitches count, as long as the team is amateur and the squad has nine players or fewer. One Team License and a named Team President are what the entry needs.
Does Praga fall in East Warsaw?
East Warsaw is the ground drawn around Praga and the eastern districts across the Vistula. Choose the ground your players can reach most easily by metro or tram on a weekday evening.
Is MCC the same as halówka?
It is related. Halówka is the Polish word for football played indoors in smaller teams, and MCC uses five a side with its own published rules, including 15-minute halves on a stop clock and penalties for level playoff ties.
What happens after a Warsaw team wins its ground?
The champion pockets $20,000 and is placed in the Country Championship, 28 to 30 May 2027, facing the other two Warsaw ground winners. After that, the national winner advances to the continental stage.
