São Paulo
São Paulo plays futsal in school gyms, church halls and rented courts on almost every block of the city, and plays futebol society on synthetic pitches after work. MCC brings a tournament in São Paulo in 2027 for amateur teams, with three grounds across the zones, a Pitch Round from 9 April and a path through the Brazil Country Championship to the World Final.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave São Paulo with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

Futsal, society and the weeknight game
São Paulo is one of Brazil's main homes of futsal. Most people here first learned the game on a hard court in a school or a club hall. Adults carry that on in company leagues, condominium cups and Saturday tournaments on society pitches, where the ball is a little livelier and the teams usually play seven.
The game here is five a side, with nine players at most on a squad list, two 15-minute halves, a stop clock and a 40-minute slot for each fixture. Players raised on futsal will find the tempo natural, and society regulars should settle within a match or two.
North, East and South-West Zone grounds
São Paulo is too large for one ground to work, so MCC splits it into three. The North Zone ground serves areas such as Santana and Tucuruvi. The East Zone ground covers districts including Tatuapé, Penha and Itaquera. The South-West Zone ground draws on Santo Amaro, Pinheiros and the neighbourhoods towards Morumbi.
Traffic decides most travel decisions in this city, so each ground is meant to be reached without crossing the whole of it. Metro lines and the CPTM trains help on some routes, and a team should simply choose the ground nearest home. One venue per ground is confirmed through the pitch owner programme and announced here once its agreement is signed.
Autumn calendar and the road to the World Final
Autumn in São Paulo means milder, drier weather than the summer storms, and evenings suit football well. The group stage is spread over three weekends beginning 9 April 2027, the next two a week apart each, and the knockout rounds get going on 30 April. Every ground ends its season with a final on 9 May.
A ground's champion travels to the Brazil Country Championship, played on 28 to 30 May 2027 against sides from Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and Curitiba. After that comes the continental stage, and then the World Final on 7 July 2027.
How MCC sits beside São Paulo's local cups
São Paulo is not short of local cups, from neighbourhood weekends to company championships, and many are decided over a weekend. MCC stretches over a month and states its format up front. Each Pitch Champion takes home $20,000 and a place in a bracket that leaves the city. Amateurs only, with a Team President named per squad and a conduct policy that allows no violence.

Questions from São Paulo
How does a team enter MCC in São Paulo?
Register on this site and pick one of São Paulo's three grounds: North Zone, East Zone, South-West Zone. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in São Paulo?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three São Paulo grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in São Paulo?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a São Paulo team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Brazil title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Is MCC futsal or society football?
Neither exactly. The format is 5-a-side with a squad of up to nine, halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock and 40-minute slots. Futsal players will recognise the size of the game, and society teams can enter with a full squad.
Which São Paulo ground suits a team from the city centre?
Choose by how you travel rather than by distance on a map. Metro and train access matters in São Paulo, so look at which of the North, East or South-West ground is easiest to reach on a weekday evening.
Can a company or condominium team enter?
Yes, provided every player is an amateur and the squad lists no more than nine. Company and condominium sides enter like any other team, with a named Team President on the entry.
Will Brazilian teams from other cities play in São Paulo?
Not in the Pitch Round, which stays local to each ground. Teams meet those from Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and Curitiba at the Country Championship from 28 to 30 May 2027.
