Host a tournament in Tokyo Metro
Saitama/North, Chiba/East and Tama/West are the three Tokyo Metro grounds, and MCC confirms one venue for each. Between 9 April and 9 May 2027 the venue hosts the ground's 5-a-side fixtures, each in a 40-minute slot. Operators of futsal courts and pitches in the Tokyo region can apply, and the Tokyo page names a venue after its agreement is signed.
What a Tokyo venue takes on
A Tokyo venue stages the matches of one ground, each in a 40-minute slot, over three April weekends, then playoffs and a final on 9 May 2027. Each ground draws between 64 and 128 teams and has one Pitch Champion, worth $20,000. MCC supplies entries, format and match officials, so the venue only needs to host the matches.
Where each ground sits in the region
Saitama/North covers Saitama, Kawaguchi and the northern lines. Chiba/East covers Chiba, Funabashi and the Bay side. Tama/West covers Tachikawa, Hachioji, Machida and the western suburbs. A venue belongs to the ground around it, and on the Tokyo page the live cards mark which grounds have a venue.
How to apply as a pitch owner
Owners go through the pitch owner application. MCC confirms a venue for each ground and signs with it, and the Tokyo page then names the facility. Whether a facility is in Saitama, Chiba or Tama decides which ground it would host.
Questions from Tokyo venues
Can an indoor futsal facility host a ground?
Yes. The pitch owner application is open to owners of futsal courts and pitches in the Tokyo region. One venue is confirmed for each ground, and the Tokyo page names it once the agreement is signed.
Does a venue have to be inside the 23 wards?
No. The grounds cover Saitama, Chiba and Tama, so a facility in any of those areas applies for its own ground. Saitama/North, Chiba/East and Tama/West each get one venue, and a team can reach each by train.
Who provides referees and teams at a Tokyo venue?
MCC does. Entries come through MCC, and the officials, a referee, two assistants and a fourth official, plus crew, are recruited through the join page. Teams do not appoint them, so the facility's role is hosting the matches.
