Host a tournament in Rome
MCC needs one venue for each of its three Rome grounds: North Rome, East Rome and EUR. Hosting a ground means staging a tournament for up to 128 amateur teams across April and May 2027, with the format, entries, fixtures and prize fund coming from MCC. If you run calcetto courts or artificial pitches in Rome, this page sets out what that involves.
What a Rome venue commits to
A host gives pitch time for group matches over three April weekends, then for playoffs starting 30 April and the ground's final on 9 May. Slots last 40 minutes, so the courts you can open on those dates decide whether the ground has 64 teams or 128. MCC provides the draw, the rules and the officials.
Which part of Rome a site belongs to
North Rome, East Rome and EUR are areas of the city, and a venue applies for the one it sits in. MCC confirms a single venue for each, so the Raccordo, the metro and the tram lines matter only in telling which area a site falls into.
Applying as a Roman pitch owner
Venues apply through the pitch owner application. For every ground MCC confirms one venue and signs an agreement with it. The Rome page then names the venue, and the live cards show which of the three grounds has one so far.
Questions from Rome venues
Can a sports club with only a few courts apply?
Yes. A ground can start from 64 teams, so a smaller site is not ruled out. The pitch owner application is the same for every site, and the matches are played in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates.
I am in Fiumicino or Guidonia. Which ground do I pick?
The grounds are areas of Rome and its surroundings. Pick the one nearest your site, North Rome, East Rome or EUR, and give its location on the application so MCC can place it.
Who supplies the teams and officials on a Rome ground?
MCC does. Teams register on this site, and officials are recruited through the join page, never appointed by teams. A Rome venue hosts the matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates.
