Host a tournament in Naples
MCC is looking for one venue on each of three Naples grounds: Casoria/North, Pomigliano/East and Pozzuoli/West. A host runs a field of up to 128 amateur teams through the Pitch Round, 9 April to 9 May 2027, and the format, fixtures, entries and prize fund all come from MCC. Calcetto centres across the province of Naples can use this page to see what hosting involves.
What hosting a ground means for a calcetto centre
A venue gives its pitches to the fixture list on three April weekends, then to the playoff dates that lead to the ground's final on 9 May. Matches sit in 40-minute slots, so several small-sided pitches let a site run a full ground; a smaller site can still host one with at least 64 teams.
Which area a Naples venue belongs to
A venue applies for the ground nearest its pitches. Casoria covers the northern towns, Pomigliano the eastern belt toward Vesuvius, and Pozzuoli the western coast with Bagnoli and Fuorigrotta. On the Naples page, the live ground cards say which of the three have a venue and which are still looking.
Applying through the pitch owner programme
A pitch owner in Casoria, Pomigliano d'Arco, Pozzuoli or the towns between them applies through the pitch owner application. MCC picks one venue for each Naples ground and signs an agreement with it, and from then on the venue appears by name on the Naples page.
Questions from Naples venue owners
How many Naples pitches does a venue need for a ground?
Every ground has between 64 and 128 teams, and a match takes 40 minutes from start to start. A calcetto centre with several pitches handles a full ground comfortably, while a modest one can still take 64 teams. The dates run from 9 April to 9 May 2027.
Can a calcetto centre outside the city of Naples apply?
Yes. The grounds cover the wider metropolitan area, so a centre in Casoria, Pomigliano d'Arco or the Phlegraean towns fits just as does one within the city proper, though teams tend to favour whichever is closest.
Who handles referees and prize money at a Naples ground?
MCC does. Match officials are recruited through the join page and the venue never appoints them. Prize money never touches a venue's books: the Pitch Champion's $20,000 is paid out of the published fund.
