Host a tournament in Medellin
MCC needs a venue for each of three Medellin grounds: Bello/North, Central Medellin and Envigado/South. The host venue stages a tournament for amateur teams in April and May 2027, with the format, fixtures, entries and prize fund supplied. Anyone running futsal or microfútbol courts in the Aburra Valley can apply, and this page explains the work.
What hosting a ground asks of a venue
The venue provides courts for its own ground's fixtures, played in 40-minute slots: three group weekends in April, knockout matches from 30 April and a final on 9 May. Whether the ground fills to 128 teams or begins nearer 64 depends on entries, and the winner advances to the Colombian final weekend.
Matching a venue to a Medellin ground
Bello/North is Bello and the north of the valley. Central Medellin is the middle of the city, around Laureles and Belen. Envigado/South is Envigado, Itagui and the south. Choose the ground whose area contains your site; the live cards on the Medellin page show where a venue is already confirmed.
The application and what follows
Pitch owners in the valley use the pitch owner application. MCC chooses the venue for each Medellin ground and signs an agreement, after which the venue's name is published on the Medellin page for teams entering that ground. Until then its card shows none.
Questions from Medellin venues
Can a venue in Bello or Envigado host a Medellin ground?
Yes. The grounds are named Bello/North and Envigado/South because they include those municipalities as well as the city proper. A site in either one applies for its matching ground through the pitch owner application.
How many Medellin venues will MCC confirm?
Three, one for each ground: Bello/North, Central Medellin and Envigado/South. Each venue hosts only the matches of its own ground, and it is named on the Medellin page after its agreement with MCC is signed.
Does the venue recruit referees and crew?
No. Match officials and crew are recruited through the join page and teams never appoint them. The venue's part is hosting the matches, while prizes come from MCC's published fund.
