Host a tournament in Belo Horizonte
Three venues are wanted for the Belo Horizonte area: North Metro, East Metro, and Contagem/West each get one. A ground can hold up to 128 amateur teams, with MCC providing the rules, sign-ups and fixture list. Owners of futsal courts or society pitches in the region should read on.
What a venue in the metro area takes on
A venue in the metro area stages one ground's matches in 40-minute slots. Group games are on 9 to 11, 16 to 18 and 23 to 25 April, the playoffs start on 30 April and the final is on 9 May. A ground holds between 64 and 128 teams, so a site with several courts has an easier time with the calendar.
Which part of the region a venue covers
North Metro is the northern part of the city, East Metro the east towards Sabará, and Contagem/West the Contagem side with the industrial belt beyond. A site just outside the city limits belongs to whichever of those areas it lies in. The live cards on the Belo Horizonte page show where a venue is already named.
How to apply
Owners apply through the pitch owner application. For each of the three Belo Horizonte grounds MCC confirms a single venue and signs an agreement. The venue is then shown on the Belo Horizonte page, where entering teams will see it.
Questions from Belo Horizonte venues
Can a venue in Contagem host a ground?
Yes. The Contagem/West ground exists for exactly that area. A site in Contagem or nearby western towns applies through the pitch owner application, and teams from the wider metropolitan region can then choose it.
Which ground covers a site east of the city centre?
East Metro, which covers the east side of the city including Santa Tereza and the districts towards Sabará. A site belongs to the area it stands in, and only one venue is confirmed for each of the three grounds.
Who recruits referees and handles prizes?
MCC does. Teams enter on this site, and referees and crew apply through the join page. Teams never appoint officials. The venue's part is its courts and its match slots.
