Host a tournament in Curitiba

North Zone, East Zone and South Zone each need a venue, so Curitiba is looking for three. Whoever takes a zone hosts a full 5-a-side competition for its teams during the Pitch Round, while MCC handles entries, rules and fixtures. Anyone who looks after futsal courts or society fields in the city can read here what the job involves.

What hosting a Curitiba ground means

What a venue gives is its pitches for the fixture dates, in 40-minute slots. Groups of four teams play across three April weekends starting 9 to 11 April, knockouts begin 30 April, and the zone's final on 9 May ends the round. Each zone gets anywhere from 64 to 128 teams, depending on entries.

Which zone your venue belongs to

The North Zone takes in Santa Felicidade, Bacacheri and Cabral. The East Zone takes in Cajuru, Uberaba and the road towards São José dos Pinhais. The South Zone takes in Pinheirinho, Xaxim, Portão and Sítio Cercado. A venue applies for the zone it stands in, and teams in that area will see it named on the Curitiba page once its agreement is signed.

Applying as a Curitiba pitch owner

A Curitiba venue applies as a pitch owner. MCC then confirms one venue for each ground and signs its agreement, after which the venue's name goes up on the Curitiba page. Referees and crew come through the join page, never from teams or from the venue.

Questions from Curitiba venues

Can a futsal court or society field host a Curitiba ground?

The pitch owner programme is open to anyone who owns or runs a pitch in the city, whether futsal courts, society fields or another small-sided surface. Only one venue is confirmed per ground, and only after its agreement is signed.

What if my venue is outside the centre of Curitiba?

That is expected. The three grounds are zones of the city and its edges, not the centre alone, and most teams will prefer a venue close to home. Apply for the zone your site belongs to.

Who finds the teams and officials for a Curitiba ground?

MCC. Entries come in on this site, and the join page recruits the referee, two assistants and a fourth official, so a venue only hosts the fixtures on the dates set.
