Host a tournament in Ankara
MCC is seeking one venue for each Ankara ground: North Ankara, West Ankara and South-East Ankara. A venue stages a full tournament for 64 to 128 amateur teams in April and May 2027, and MCC itself brings the format, fixtures, entries and prize fund. If you operate pitches in the capital or its suburbs, this page covers what hosting involves.
What an Ankara venue commits to
A host needs pitch hours across three April group weekends, the playoff dates from the end of April and a final in early May. With 40-minute slots, a site with several pitches can run a large ground and a smaller one can take a ground near the lower limit of 64 teams. The venue provides the pitches and the hours, and MCC provides everything else.
Finding the right ground for your site
Venues apply for the ground that covers their area: North Ankara, West Ankara or South-East Ankara. The live cards on the Ankara page show which grounds already have a signed venue and which are still open, so an operator can see at a glance where a site is needed.
Making the application
Applications go through the pitch owner programme. For each of the three Ankara grounds MCC settles on one venue and signs an agreement with it, after which this page names the signed venue so entering teams know where to go.
Questions from Ankara venues
Can a university sports facility in Ankara apply?
Yes. Any site with pitches can apply through the pitch owner application, whoever owns it. Hosting means running matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates, with the pitch hours free for a ground of up to 128 teams.
How big does an Ankara ground need to be?
A ground holds 64 to 128 teams. What matters is pitch hours: enough to play the group stage across three April weekends plus the playoffs, which depends on how many pitches the site has.
Which parts of Ankara does each ground cover?
North Ankara serves the districts beyond the centre toward Keçiören, West Ankara the Yenimahalle and Etimesgut side, and South-East Ankara the far side of the centre. A venue applies for the ground its location falls in.
