Seville divides its football loyalty between Sevilla FC and Real Betis, and plays its own games on the courts and pitches of every barrio. MCC puts a 5-a-side tournament in the city in 2027 with three grounds: North Seville, Alcala/East and Dos Hermanas/South. Each ground holds up to 128 teams and sends its Pitch Champion, with $20,000, to the Spanish Country Championship.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Seville with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

Where Seville plays futbol sala
In Andalusia the small-sided game is futbol sala, and it runs on municipal courts, school pistas and the paid pitches that every neighbourhood seems to have. Teams from Triana, Nervion, Macarena and the commuter towns book evening slots, because the afternoon heat makes the daytime hard from late spring.
A 5-a-side tournament with fixed groups of four and a clear path to a national championship gives these teams a target that a weekly league cannot offer, and a reason to keep a squad together through the whole spring season.
North Seville, Alcala/East and Dos Hermanas/South
North Seville covers the northern districts such as San Jeronimo and the Macarena, together with Santa Justa and the towns on the road north. Alcala/East serves Alcala de Guadaira and the area along the A-92. Dos Hermanas/South serves the south, with Montequinto and the corridor toward Utrera.
Buses, the Cercanias line to Dos Hermanas and the city's single Metro line help teams reach the grounds. Each ground plays its own round of 64 to 128 teams, while each ground's venue is picked through the MCC pitch owner programme and shown on this page once it signs.
The Seville spring and the road to the Spanish final
April and May in Seville are warm, with highs of 24 to 29 degrees. Play starts on 9 April 2027 and the group stage takes up the three weekends that follow, with playoffs after 30 April and every ground deciding its champion on 9 May.
The champions from Seville's grounds continue to the Spanish Country Championship, 28 to 30 May 2027, where Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao send their own. A continental stage follows and the final in the sequence, the World Final, is set for 7 July 2027.
Why enter this rather than a feria cup
Andalusia has many weekend torneos, some tied to local fiestas. MCC runs from 9 April to 9 May instead, with published rules, penalties for any level playoff tie, one Team License per team and a named Team President. The competition is amateur only and carries a zero-tolerance conduct policy, so a team knows what it is entering.

How does a team enter MCC in Seville?
Register on this site and pick one of Seville's three grounds: North Seville, Alcala/East, Dos Hermanas/South. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Seville?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Seville grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Seville?
