Host a tournament in Oslo

MCC is recruiting one venue for each of Oslo's three grounds: North Oslo, East Oslo and South Oslo. Whoever takes a ground stages its Pitch Round: 64 to 128 amateur sides, matches from 9 April through to a final on 9 May 2027. This page is for people who own or manage small-sided pitches around Oslo.

What an Oslo venue is asked to provide

Hours are what a venue provides: weekend slots through April for the groups, knockout days after 30 April and the 9 May final. With 40-minute match slots, a multi-pitch site copes with 128 teams, while 64 is the least a ground can begin with.

Which Oslo districts belong to which ground

North Oslo covers Grünerløkka, Sagene, Bjerke and Grorud. East Oslo covers Gamle Oslo, Furuset and Alna. South Oslo covers Nordstrand, Bjørvika and the southern suburbs. Each ground is looking for an owner of small pitches inside its own districts of the city.

How an Oslo venue applies

Apply through the MCC pitch owner application, the single route in. MCC confirms one venue per ground and signs an agreement with it. Teams then find the venue named on the Oslo page, so everyone in a ground knows where the matches are.

Questions from Oslo venue owners

Can an indoor Oslo site host a ground?

A venue hosts matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates, in its ground's districts, and nothing here limits that to outdoor pitches. MCC confirms one venue per ground, so all teams in a ground share a site.

Do I need to run a football club to apply?

No. Any owner of small pitches in a ground's districts can come through the pitch owner programme, whether a sports hall, a school or a company. The venue hosts the matches and signs the agreement with MCC.

Who supplies the teams and the match officials?

MCC does. Sign-up happens on the main site, and the referee, two assistants, the fourth official and the crew come in through the join page. No venue or team hires its own officials.
