Casablanca
Casablanca is the biggest city in Morocco and one of the country's great football towns, split between Wydad and Raja. Foot a cinq and mini-foot pitches are booked out in every quarter after work. The MCC Casablanca tournament gives that habit three grounds, North, East and South-West, a round that starts on 9 April 2027 and a route to the continental stage.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Casablanca with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.
North Casablanca
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
East Casablanca
64 to 128 teams · $20,000 to its Pitch Champion
South-West Casablanca

Mini-foot after work in Casablanca
Wydad and Raja share the Complexe Mohammed V, and the derby is the fixture the whole city notices. The football most people play is smaller: foot a cinq on synthetic pitches, called mini-foot, rented by the hour by friends, colleagues and neighbourhood sides.
MCC uses the same shape of game. Five a side, squads of up to nine, two quarter-hour halves under a stop clock, groups of four. A team that already books a weekly slot can enter without changing how it plays.
North, East and South-West grounds
Casablanca spreads along the Atlantic coast, and the tram and the long boulevards shape how people travel. North Casablanca covers the districts toward Ain Sebaa and Sidi Bernoussi. East Casablanca covers Hay Mohammadi and the eastern districts. South-West Casablanca takes in Maarif, Anfa and the coast toward Ain Diab.
A full round is played at each ground, so a side picks the one it can reach on a weekday evening. Pitch owners put sites forward through the MCC programme, and the cards on this page show where a venue has been named.
April weather and the path out of Morocco
April and May are comfortable in Casablanca, warm in the day and cooler by the sea in the evening, with only occasional rain. Weekends from 9 April to 25 April carry the group matches. Playoff matches follow from 30 April, with all three finals played on 9 May.
Casablanca is Morocco's only host, so its three champions settle the national title between them on 28 to 30 May 2027. The winner moves directly on to Africa's continental stage, and the World Final is on 7 July 2027. Teams that win in Casablanca should expect a longer season than a single cup.
More than a quarter cup
Casablanca has no lack of local tournaments, usually lasting a day or a weekend. MCC runs as a five-week season with a fixed format, a $20,000 award at every ground and a bracket that leads abroad. Entry is limited to amateur teams, a Team President is named on each, and a zero-tolerance policy allows licences to be withdrawn with no refund.

Questions from Casablanca
How does a team enter MCC in Casablanca?
Register on this site and pick one of Casablanca's three grounds: North Casablanca, East Casablanca, South-West Casablanca. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Casablanca?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Casablanca grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Casablanca?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Casablanca team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Morocco title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Is mini-foot the same as 5-a-side?
Yes for MCC's purposes. Matches are five players a side with squads of up to nine. A Casablanca mini-foot or foot a cinq team can enter as it is, provided all players are amateurs.
Which ground is closest to Maarif or Ain Diab?
South-West Casablanca covers Maarif, Anfa and the coast toward Ain Diab, so it is the nearest for teams there. Each ground plays a complete round, so there is no need to travel to another.
What happens after the Pitch Round with only one Moroccan city?
The three Casablanca Pitch Champions play each other in the Morocco Country Championship on 28 to 30 May 2027. The winner moves to the continental stage and later the World Final on 7 July 2027.
Can a team from Mohammedia or Rabat enter?
Yes. A team from outside the city may register for the Casablanca ground it can reach most easily. The same rules apply: amateur players, a Team President and one Team License per team.
