Amman is a city of hills, and its football follows the neighbourhoods built on them. Futsal and five-a-side games fill school courts, club halls and floodlit pitches most evenings. The MCC Amman tournament gives those teams a proper season in 2027: three grounds, a Pitch Round starting on 9 April, and a path through the Jordan Country Championship toward the World Final on 7 July.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Amman with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

Futsal and five-a-side across the hills
Small-sided football in Amman lives wherever a flat piece of ground can be found. Schools, universities, sports clubs and apartment-block courts all run evening games, and friends who work together often book a pitch by the hour once the week is done. Al-Wehdat and Al-Faisaly are the city's best-known clubs, and amateur teams are often named after neighbourhoods and workplaces.
A team that already meets weekly in Shmeisani, Sweifieh, Marka or Jabal Amman is the kind MCC is built for. Squads of up to nine, two halves of fifteen minutes and a stop clock keep the match fast and the schedule predictable.
How the three Amman grounds are laid out
The grounds are North Amman, East Amman and West-South Amman. North covers the northern suburbs, including Shafa Badran. East takes in the older neighbourhoods near Marka and the roads toward Zarqa. West-South reaches Sweifieh, Abdoun and the southern and western districts along the main ring roads.
Most people here move by car, taxi or the city bus network, so each ground covers a part of the city rather than all of it. Every ground takes between 64 and 128 teams and plays a complete round by itself.
April and May weather, and the road out of Jordan
April and May in Amman are dry, warm in the afternoon and cool after sunset. Each Amman ground plays its groups across the weekends of 9 to 11, 16 to 18 and 23 to 25 April before the playoffs open on 30 April and a ground final on 9 May.
No other Jordanian city hosts, so there is no national bracket to fight through: all three Amman winners, each holding $20,000, go to the Country Championship on 28 to 30 May 2027. After that comes the continental stage and, on 7 July 2027, the World Final.
Amateur tournaments in Amman, and the MCC difference
Neighbourhood cups and company days are common in the city, and most last a weekend. MCC runs as a season: a published format, a group of four with three group matches, playoffs that go to penalties when level, and one Team License per team. Entry is for amateur sides only, and a Team President is named on every entry.

How does a team enter MCC in Amman?
Register on this site and pick one of Amman's three grounds: North Amman, East Amman, West-South Amman. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Amman?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Amman grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Amman?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.

The Pitch Round runs from 9 April to 9 May 2027. Ramadan in 2027 falls earlier in the year, so the round begins after it has ended, and the first group weekend is 9 to 11 April.
What happens after an Amman team wins its ground?
The Pitch Champion takes home $20,000 and moves on to the Country Championship for Jordan, 28 to 30 May 2027. With only one host city in the country, the three Amman ground winners face each other there before the continental stage.
