Trabzon
Trabzon is a football city in the plainest sense: the Black Sea port where Trabzonspor is the shared subject of conversation, and where halı saha pitches fill after work along the coast. The MCC Trabzon tournament puts a 2027 competition on that base, with grounds at Ortahisar, Akçaabat and Yomra, and a path from the coast to the World Final on 7 July 2027.
Three grounds, three champions
Two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock. Every team plays three group matches in a group of four, and the top two go into the playoffs, where a tie level after two halves goes to penalties. Five weeks of football on each ground leave Trabzon with three Pitch Champions, and each goes straight to the Country Championship.

A coastal city that watches and plays
Trabzonspor is the main club and the reference point for most conversations, and the small-sided game here follows its example: halı saha pitches along the coastal strip, booked in the evenings by work teams, families and friends from the same street.
MCC offers those teams a defined season. Squads of up to nine, two halves of 15 minutes on a stop clock, 40-minute match slots, and a group of four with three matches before the top two go to the playoffs.
Ortahisar, Akçaabat and Yomra
The three grounds sit along the coast. Ortahisar is the central district and the main urban area, Akçaabat lies to the west along the shore, and Yomra to the east. The coastal road links them, so a team in any of the three can reach its neighbours, but most will choose the ground nearest their own street.
Every ground takes between 64 and 128 teams and plays out its own full round. A venue will be confirmed for each one under the MCC pitch owner programme, and this page names it after the agreement is signed. The ground cards above show the current position.
April and May on the coast, then the Turkish ladder
The Black Sea coast gets more rain than the rest of Türkiye, and April and May stay mild but showery. Group matches are played on the first three April weekends of the round, playoffs begin on 30 April and each ground's final falls on 9 May.
The three Trabzon Pitch Champions go to the Country Championship, 28 to 30 May 2027, against the winners from Istanbul and Ankara. The continental stage follows, then the World Final on 7 July 2027, the end of the road for the whole field.
A season rather than a Saturday
Local cups in Trabzon tend to be quick, one-day events. MCC offers a five-week round, one published format and penalties for any level playoff tie, with $20,000 for the champion of each ground. Only amateur teams enter, each with a named Team President, and the zero-tolerance conduct policy applies to everyone.

Questions from Trabzon
How does a team enter MCC in Trabzon?
Register on this site and pick one of Trabzon's three grounds: Ortahisar, Akçaabat, Yomra. One Team License per team: USD 1,200 for one year until 1 March 2027 (then 2,500), or 5,000 for three years. Payment and KYC verification follow the application.
When does the tournament start in Trabzon?
The Pitch Round runs 9 April to 9 May 2027 on all three Trabzon grounds. The group matches are played on 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 April, the playoffs from 30 April, and each ground's final on 9 May. Pitch Champions go straight to the Country Championship on 28-30 May 2027.
How many teams can play in Trabzon?
Up to 384: each of the three grounds takes up to 128 teams, and each needs a minimum of 64 to run its round. A full ground puts an entry on its waitlist instead of turning it away.
What can a Trabzon team win?
$20,000 per Pitch Champion, $150,000 for the Türkiye title, $500,000 continental and $5,000,000 for the World Champion - plus championship rings from Country level up.
Which ground suits a team from outside central Trabzon?
Akçaabat serves the west of the coast and Yomra the east, while Ortahisar covers the centre. A team picks the one it can reach most easily on a weekday evening.
Which parts of the Black Sea coast do the grounds cover?
Ortahisar covers the centre of Trabzon, Akçaabat the coast to the west and Yomra the coast to the east. MCC announces each ground's venue on the Trabzon page once its agreement is signed.
Does Trabzonspor have anything to do with MCC?
No. MCC is an independent tournament for amateur teams, and no professional club or stadium is involved. The club is part of the city's football culture, but it has no part in the competition.
Can a team from a nearby province enter in Trabzon?
A team enters whichever ground it chooses and is registered under one Team License. Each team names a Team President and must be amateur, so read the entry rules on this site first.
