Host a tournament in Lisbon
MCC needs one venue for each of its three Lisbon grounds, in Loures, Oeiras and Almada. A ground's venue becomes home for a 5-a-side competition of up to 128 amateur teams in April and May 2027, and MCC brings the format, the fixtures, the entries and the prize fund. Operators of futsal courts or artificial pitches around Lisbon will find the details below.
What a Lisbon venue is asked to provide
The venue gives pitch time across three April weekends for group matches, then the playoff dates from 30 April and a final day on 9 May. Slots run 40 minutes each, so the number of courts you can free decides whether the ground takes 64 teams or 128. The draw, the match officials and the crew are MCC's responsibility.
Where Loures, Oeiras and Almada begin and end
Loures is the northern ground, Oeiras the western one along the Cascais line, and Almada the southern one over the Tagus. A venue applies for the ground it falls inside, and MCC confirms one venue per ground. Each area is large, so a site in Sacavém, Paço de Arcos or Cacilhas knows at once which ground is its own.
Putting a site forward
To apply, fill in the pitch owner application. After that MCC picks a venue for each ground and signs an agreement with it. The Lisbon page then names the venue, and the live cards show which of Loures, Oeiras and Almada has one already.
Questions from Lisbon venues
Does a Lisbon venue need to be an indoor futsal hall?
No. Indoor halls and outdoor pitches can both apply. A Lisbon ground plays its matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates and takes between 64 and 128 teams over the Pitch Round.
I am in Cascais or Sintra. Which ground do I apply for?
Cascais lies on the Cascais line, in the area of the Oeiras ground in the west. The grounds are areas of the Lisbon region, so apply through the pitch owner application and name where your site is.
Who supplies the teams and officials for a Lisbon ground?
Teams sign up on this site and MCC recruits the officials, with applications through the join page; teams never appoint them. The venue provides the pitches for the fixtures on the published dates.
