Host a tournament in Leeds
Three Leeds venues are wanted: North Leeds, East Leeds and Morley/South each need one. The site that takes a ground looks after 64 to 128 amateur teams across five weeks of April and May 2027, with MCC supplying format, entries, fixtures and prizes. Any operator of artificial pitches in the right part of the city can read the details here.
What hosting a Leeds ground involves
Hosting means staging a ground's matches in 40-minute slots of two 15-minute halves. Group fixtures fall on the weekends of 9, 16 and 23 April, playoffs open on 30 April, and one final ends the round on 9 May. A ground holds 64 to 128 teams.
Which Leeds areas each ground covers
North Leeds suits sites around Headingley, Chapel Allerton, Roundhay, Moortown and Horsforth. East Leeds suits Seacroft, Crossgates, Whinmoor and Garforth. Morley/South suits Morley, Rothwell, Beeston and Middleton. Live cards on the Leeds page mark each ground as confirmed or open to pitch owners.
Applying to host in Leeds
Owners start with the pitch owner application. After that MCC confirms a single venue for each of the three grounds and signs an agreement with it, and the Leeds page then names that venue for entrants. Sites in North Leeds, East Leeds, Morley and nearby suburbs all use the one application.
Questions from Leeds venues
How many teams does a Leeds ground take?
A Leeds ground holds between 64 and 128 teams, according to entries. Matches run in 40-minute slots, with group fixtures on three April weekends and one final on 9 May 2027.
Can a venue outside the ring road apply?
Yes. The grounds are areas of the wider Leeds city region, so a site in Garforth, Horsforth or Rothwell fits as well as one nearer the centre. The Leeds page shows which grounds are confirmed.
Who supplies referees and crew in Leeds?
MCC recruits referees, assistants, a fourth official and crew through its join page, and teams enter through this site. Venues are not asked to appoint anyone for a match, only to stage them.
