Host a tournament in Boston
Boston's three grounds, North Shore, MetroWest and South Shore, need a venue apiece. The venue stages up to 128 amateur teams from 9 April to 9 May 2027, with MCC providing the format, fixtures and entries. Operators of turf, domes or fields in eastern Massachusetts will find here what a ground involves.
What a Boston venue provides
Boston's ground venues give pitch time: three April weekends for group matches, then the playoffs and a final on 9 May. Slots are 40 minutes, and a ground holds between 64 and 128 teams. MCC takes care of the format, the draw and the entries; the venue hosts the matches.
Which Boston area a site belongs to
Lynn, Salem, Beverly and Peabody fall in North Shore. Waltham, Newton, Natick and Framingham fall in MetroWest. Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth and the towns toward Plymouth fall in South Shore. An operator puts forward the area where its site stands, and the Boston page's cards show which of the three has no venue yet.
Applying from Massachusetts
The pitch owner application is the way in. MCC confirms one venue per ground and signs an agreement. Then the Boston page names the venue, and its live cards show which grounds still have none. Venues across eastern Massachusetts apply the same way, whichever of the three areas they stand in.
Questions from Boston venues
Which dates does a Boston venue have to cover?
Group play begins 9 April 2027 and runs over three weekends, playoffs follow from 30 April and the ground's final is on 9 May. Matches are 40-minute slots, so those dates are the commitment.
Can a site inside the city of Boston host?
The three grounds are the North Shore, MetroWest and the South Shore, so a venue should sit within one of those areas. Sites on the edge of the city may fit the nearest ground.
What does MCC supply beyond the format?
The fixtures, the entries and the Pitch Champion prize. Referees and crew are recruited through the join page, so a venue provides pitches and hours rather than officials, and teams never appoint them.
